Hi- I’m Carlyn
I am a recent graduate of Endicott College with a BFA in Graphic Design. I am at my best in terms of design when working with vector graphics and typography. When possible, I enjoy bringing in my various other skills and interests into design. This mostly involves digital illustration, but I have also done work that includes my photography and animation (after effects & Maya)
I like using design to give life to ideas that are academic or unexciting and make them accessible and engaging to the average individual. In two of my favorite past projects I have highlighted how molecular biology in certain species results in bioluminescence and designed an app to help people learn Morse Code.
In my free time I work on creative exploration through character design and worldbuilding. I enjoy drawing these characters and creating narratives and situations for them. Occasionally I do this with friends, our collaborative efforts resulting in happy compromise as we work to fully develop the characters to feel accurate to both of our visions.
I try to incorporate passion into any artistic work I create. If I am insincere, how can I expect anyone else to appreciate it or be inspired by it themselves?
